When I was a child, I dreamed of creating the images that would be displayed on billboards along the roads. Although I didn’t initially study anything related to film, during my last semester of university, I realized I wanted something different. I applied for a runner position at a photography studio in Lima, Peru, and was accepted. That’s where I completely fell in love with the industry. I started by working in the production department, doing anything I could, but I craved more.

I decided to take some makeup courses and soon began working for Peruvian magazines. I spent my weekends doing makeup for social events, editorials, and fashion shows. At the time, I truly thought I could do this forever. I’m not sure exactly when my mindset shifted, but around 2015, I started assisting a stylist and art director in fashion. I then spent two years as a stylist, creating images for magazines, retail stores, and TV commercials.

One day, a friend mentioned me that a production designer was looking for an art assistant. The fashion world was incredible, and I still love it, but I was curious about exploring music videos, narrative films, and other areas I hadn't yet experienced. I started working with the production designer, and I learned so much, both on set and off. I gained experience being in meetings, pre-producing on tight budgets, sourcing, and developing visuals that helped other departments and clients understand our vision.

Since 2020, I’ve been working as a production designer. Now I split my time between Lima and London (currently based in London). My work spans commercials, music videos, short films, fashion films, two feature films, and photography. I absolutely love being on set.
